Three Tips for Spring Cleaning Your Home

Cleaning your home doesn’t have to involve harsh chemicals. With a few simple, non-toxic products, you can create a safer and healthier environment. Here’s how you can start:

  • Use Vinegar and Baking Soda for Stubborn Stains:
Vinegar is a natural disinfectant, and combined with baking soda, it forms a powerful cleaning paste. This mixture works wonders on tough stains, grime, and soap scum. It’s perfect for sinks, countertops, and even the bathroom. Simply apply the paste and let it sit for a few minutes before scrubbing away!
  • Switch to Plant-Based All-Purpose Cleaners:
Opt for eco-friendly, plant-based all-purpose cleaners that are free from synthetic chemicals and harsh fragrances. These cleaners are effective on a variety of surfaces, from kitchen counters to bathroom tiles, and they’re gentle on your skin and the environment. My absolute MOST favorite concentrate that has multiple cleaning uses is Branch Basics! I use this concentrate for cleaning counters, fruit and vegetables, stains, laundry and in the bathroom. It is well worth it’s weight in gold!
  • DIY Your Own Natural Disinfectant Spray:
Mix water, white vinegar, and a few drops of essential oils (like lavender or tea tree oil) to create a natural disinfectant spray. This solution can be used to sanitize high-touch areas like doorknobs, light switches, and remote controls without exposing your home to toxic chemicals.

By switching to these non-toxic cleaning methods, you can enjoy a cleaner, safer home while protecting the environment!
